Max Payne 3: Video review

Disputes, hysterics and other lamentations of fans did not stop from the very moment when the developers presented to our court screenshots of the updated version of the legendary policeman. Well, we thought: “Rockstar definitely knows how to make crime action films. But can she do Max Payne??“We dedicate our review to the answer to this completely logical and correct question.

Max Payne 3

The game is great. I absolutely don’t understand people who write that this is pseudo-Max, this is no longer Payne… This is exactly Max Payne. The new Max Payne into which the old one turned after everything that happened to him. It was life that changed him, not Rockstar.

Why did you run into the boy?? As soon as they post it on YouTube, the quality is low, then over time it is processed and we see 720. Not everyone knows this. People make mistakes.

I must admit, at the beginning I was part of that group of people who shouted “what?“yes “why” “why the hell is he bald and old” for me it’s like Hitman with luxuriant hair. but now it’s quite the opposite, the game turned out great

What difference does it make to you – there is noir, there is no noir!

I don’t remember the wild fuss https://tripscasino.co.uk/bonus/ about WHAT AN AWESOME NOIR there was in parts 1 and 2!

the main thing is that the game turned out great! and it’s not about NOIRE.

In the video settings “Change quality”
True, I myself don’t know why “High Quality” costs 360p as standard.

Play on medium difficulty with Russian subtitles, and then say something about simple phrases.

There are quite a lot of phrases with puns; almost any selection of pills is accompanied by a witty statement.

I would also mention the ending. I was crazy about the game myself, I even learned the melody on the piano on my own after a similar video in the game, but the ending was kind of “not my last effort”. I didn’t feel like I took revenge after that ending. And in general it was clear that the designers merged at the last levels. Kill the entire police station to SUDDENLY get a closed door.

I completed it yesterday, I want to share my impressions.
Let’s start with the positives, perhaps.
First – graphics, physics, animation – a new version of an already proven engine Rage with animation system Euphoria work wonders. Everything looks very beautiful and natural.
Secondly, the plot is not to say that it amazes with its unexpected turns, but quite in the spirit of the original. Much more impressive is its presentation – stunning in-engine cutscenes, excellent voice acting, incredible cinematography and all-encompassing attention to detail – its signature signature Rockstar visible in every frame.
Third – the last third of the game. The transfer of the scene and the radical differences in Max’s appearance did not have the best effect on the recognition and atmosphere of the game as part of the series. But the last act dots all the i’s. Starting from the abandoned hotel and until the very end credits, the game comes as close as possible in its mood to the second part. Max is already forgetting who he is actually fighting against. The brain does not feel the body falling apart due to anabolic steroids. He no longer hopes to be saved, the only thing he wants is to take with him to the next world more of these… who they are… ah… it doesn’t matter anymore. And so on in the text. Darkness, noir and hopelessness. Very McSpainian. So the ending is a test.
Music – remixes of the classic McSpain theme, electronic tracks of the group Health (settled in my player for a long time) and colorful Brazilian pop music cope with the task with 5 plus. The game sounds amazing.
Now about what I didn’t like:
The most important, the most fatty, HUGE, HUGE minus for the absence of Max’s delusional dreams in the game. Well, how could you forget about such a cool feature of the series??! HOW. I was extremely indignant.
Well, so, little by little. The vaunted animation system sometimes produces absolutely incredible and unnatural poses, few references to previous parts, etc.d. But this is all nitpicking. Oh, here’s another thing, I remembered. I was upset that when at the airport I went up the escalator against its direction, I was not given an achievement. And I was expecting something in the spirit of “Stubborn Ram”, for example =)
The result is a very high-quality action game, the money I spent on which I never regretted during the entire playthrough.
P.S. I can’t say anything about multiplayer, since I’ve never even launched it, to be honest. Although I also have some bonuses for pre-ordering. Well, he doesn’t interest me at all.

If we assume that noir should take place in New York and constantly copy phrases with scenes from a bunch of ancient films, then noir has almost disappeared.

On YouTube, if you set the quality to automatic, then it gradually increases so that you can watch comfortably, without any “lags”. This is such a feature, t.e. first it will be 360, after 5-10 seconds 480, and then 720 (which is loaded while you are looking at 360 or 480). I hope I clarified))

I would also mention the ending. I was crazy about the game myself, I even learned the melody on the piano on my own after a similar video in the game, but the ending was kind of “not my last effort”. I didn’t feel like I took revenge after that ending.

At least you’re lucky… I didn’t feel like I had to take revenge the whole game, this boss, his wife, who the hell knows what Pasos, who they are to me? Cardboard bobbleheads! There wasn’t at least something that would make me fight for them, no missions for Pasos who would heroically throw himself in front of the bullets to save Max (fans would appreciate such a parallel with Mona), nor any scenes when the boss sent something planted with alcohol and pills to the hospital for a transplant, NOTHING HAPPENED. I just wanted to buy a ticket for Max and fly to Miami to sunbathe his old age..

"The hero our world deserves, but not the one it needs now".
Probably one of the last games that I was really looking forward to and, like many fans of the original, was biased and rather skeptical about the announcement. All these colorful landscapes accompanied by a painfully familiar musical theme, a developer known for excellent games with an open world, worked out to the smallest detail, who once published the second part of Max Payne. It immediately became clear that the game would be transformed, it would probably be only formally connected with the first two parts and this had nothing to do with new technologies and a powerful graphics engine. For a person interested in computer games and who first saw Max in the game library more than ten years ago, he will be remembered forever, what can I say, such a game has never existed, the unimaginable beauty and truly hurricane gameplay riveted to the screen for such a long time. that at some point you catch yourself thinking: “perhaps it’s worth covering your mouth”. Time passed, the second part was released, which of course I liked, but to say that the old feeling returned would be simply dishonest; at that time, many of the most diverse and beautiful games were behind us, and the Fall of Max Payne had a worthy place among them.
The new Max Payne was surprising, the game essentially uses classic (we’ll tactfully omit cover) game mechanics, honed to perfection, like a bullet digging straight into the brain. In fact, I consider it the best action game on PC in recent years, one of the few games in this genre with a plot, and there is no point in subjecting it to harsh criticism by comparing it with the original, because the whole background was not complicated, and the script, presentation, characters and atmosphere were brilliant. The game does not let you get bored for a minute, it takes your breath away from the first frames to the final credits – this is Max fucking Payne, one of the last few, real heroes of our days.
